Welcome to Branson's Farm Shop, a proud part of T H Branson & Son, located between Peterborough and Huntingdon. For nearly 100 years, the Branson family has nurtured this mixed family farm in Glatton, embracing a commitment to regenerative farming practices and a deep respect for both livestock and soil.
The farm is operated by Brian and his son Matt, who combine generations of practical farming experience with Matt’s expertise as an agricultural engineer—a skill that proves invaluable when machinery requires maintenance. Matt's wife, Stacey, shares a profound passion for cattle, particularly the Aberdeen Angus breed, and actively contributes to the herd while also working full-time as a farm adviser.
Shirley, Brian’s wife and Matt’s mother, is an invaluable member of the team as well, always ready to lend a hand with the cattle and ensure everyone stays energized with essential lunch runs during the busy harvest season.
As the seventh generation of the Branson family, Matt’s lineage traces back to Martinsthorpe in Rutland, where the family’s old shepherd’s cottage remains the last standing building of the medieval village.
Livestock, especially the Aberdeen Angus cattle, have always been central to our farming system. Their presence enhances our soils, supports biodiversity, and underscores our long-standing commitment to regenerative farming—well before it became a trendy concept. Our heavy clay soils are rich in organic matter and teem with worm activity, while barn owls and kestrels thrive here, benefiting from healthy vole populations in our pastures.
